The axe is a weapon that can be found in various places on the map. It is stronger than the hammer and has a slightly larger swing arc, but does not knock back zombies like the baseball bat. It is also the most efficient weapon for breaking down locked doors and chopping down trees which contain logs that make wood planks for barricading and carpentry.
